For my research project I am looking at the validity of pool based dynamometry in swimmers (using a hand grip dynamometer which gives just force) and comparing to the values obtained on the university's isokinetic dynamometer.

I need to know how to calculate the force produced on the dynamometer so that I can directly compare to the values from the pool based testing but I'm unsure on this - I have yet to find any reuptable resources that could help, and contatcting the manufacturer hasn't been much help either. I know the dynamometer will give me torque which I need to convert to force.

Can anyone help me?
