You can calculate center of mass using Ansys. First you have to create volume from the stl file. No script required, you can do it from GUI.

You can use trimesh. It is python module which you can install via anaconda distribution... it allows you to calculate the center of mass and other stuff like filtering to denoise mesh if the case or generate volume mesh

If you have Solidworks, import the .STL as a Surface body. Give the STL a material. It doesn't matter what material for cenetr of mass. Under tools, select "Evaluate" then "Mass Properties". The principal axes of inertia origin is the center of mass.

The last time i checked, the project didn't support multi material, so center of mass and centroid should be the same
