Soil Types and conditions which affect microbial Populations can be listed down here to understand or have a holistic idea - How do different soil types and conditions affect microbial populations and activity?
The ability of soils to support microbial life is dpendent on the physical texure of the soil the soil chemistry and the microbial population can respond to the content of organic matter which improves soil texutre and chemistry and serves as a protective and nutritive substrate for soil microbes which are mostly beneficial in soil productivity.
The presnet of 5% or more of soil organic matter make the soil not supportive for many pathogenic soil microbes. This is based on the activity of probiotic natural microbes which can suppress many of the pathogens.
Yoram Avnimelech your two points provides the answer to my question thank you but however my research shows many more different soil types to the present list of types
Paul Reed Hepperly I agree to your 5% soil organic matter make the soil not supportive for many pathogenic soil microbes and yes this depends on the locations too
