I am investigating passive design by study how impact of house envelop on using less energy in heating as it is the most energy consumption for occupant in Victoria, Australia.

As conventional and currently house, external wall was made by solid brick, concrete wall and concrete block whereas some studies about the insulation and thermal mass in hot and humid climate indicated the benefit of external insulation.

Therefore, I would like to look up some studies about external wall by combination of these material such as hollow brick, thatch brick (clay/concrete mix with thatch) or bubble brick (e.g clay/ concrete mix with plastic bubble). How could it be mixed and used? if yes, how is it different from the conventional material?
