Im working on MIMO CP antenna and , im not sure about cst setting to make the simulation using cst software. I designed single element and i obtained the CP curve for it , what about MIMO antenna , how can i set cst software ?
The CP (correlation coefficient versus polarizations) curve for a MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna can be obtained using the CST (Computer Simulation Technology) software by following these steps:
1. Model the MIMO antenna in CST: The first step is to create a 3D model of the MIMO antenna in CST. This involves defining the geometry of the antenna, including the size and shape of the antenna elements, the spacing between the elements, and the feeding network that connects the elements to the transmitter/receiver.
2. Define the simulation setup: Once the antenna model is created, the next step is to define the simulation setup. This includes specifying the frequency range over which the antenna will operate, the material properties of the antenna elements and the surrounding environment, and the simulation settings such as the mesh size and solver options.
3. Perform the simulation: After setting up the simulation, the next step is to run the simulation in CST. This will generate the electromagnetic fields and other parameters of the antenna in the specified frequency range.
4. Post-processing: Once the simulation is complete, the next step is to analyze the results and generate the CP curve for the MIMO antenna. This involves post-processing the simulation data in CST using the built-in tools such as the far-field calculator and polarization analyzer.
5. Generate the CP curve: Finally, the CP curve for the MIMO antenna is generated by plotting the correlation coefficient between the different antenna polarizations as a function of the antenna orientation. This curve provides important information about the performance of the MIMO antenna, including the degree of polarization diversity and the optimal antenna orientation for achieving maximum diversity gain.
In summary, the CP curve for a MIMO antenna can be obtained using CST by creating a 3D model of the antenna, defining the simulation setup, performing the simulation, post-processing the data, and generating the CP curve using the built-in tools.
