I am struggling to find a helpful protocol for detection of these two bacterial species (one originating from tomato wilt disease and the other from tomato spot disease). I am unsure of how to properly set up PCR/Gel Electrophoresis for these particularly strains. My intent is to sample diseased plant tissue and culture the bacterial colonies, where I would purify them and run the respective colonies in PCR, then agarose gel for identification.
