How could i assure validity and reliability in the research?
In your research or some one else's?
Good observation, Joseph. 'in genral' I guess.
There you go Waleed!
For reliability:
- Results are consistent over time
- An accurate representation of the total population under study
- If the results of a study can be reproduced under a similar methodology, then the research instrument is considered to be reliable.
For Validity
- The research truly measures that which it was intended to
measure.
- How truthful the research results are.
Hope this helps
I always recommend to read this "cristalline" paper:
Shenton, A. K. (2004). Strategies for ensuring trustworthiness in qualitative research projects. Education for information, 22 (2), 63-75.
