How to compare Dependability vs Performability?
There are subtle differences between the two. Dependability is a measure on how reliable is a person that you can count on whereas performability is a measure on what is the task outcome or deliverable quality of a person. A person can be dependable but not performing, like wise a person can perform but not necessary reliable e.g. a worker can deliver his / her work with certain quality of service but s/he might sometimes come late to work. Of course there are some people who are both dependable & performing.

Technically speaking Dependability is tied to both high availability and resilience terms. To ensure dependability of a network and guarantee service delivery even if the network components are faulty or operating at a degraded level, you should implement fault tolerence mechanims. Whereas performability depends on the network ressources and their ability to acheive the requested tasks effectively.
In Computing and communication systems, they are defined by the following attributes:
- Performance: Extendibility, Security, Flexibility, Reliability, Functionality, Usability, Connectivity and Privacy.
- Dependability: Availability, Reliability, Safety, Confidentiality, Integrity and Maintainability.

,Dependability is Something more general than performability! sometimes a system can perform, bu it as out of reach and so it is not dependable anymore!
