I was thinking of two waves meet each other, interfering then separated with original momenta.
I suspect this is a multi-particle phenomenon the particles carrying two waves don’t interact with each other, i.e., at atomic level the waves are conducted by totally different atoms in different directions.
My question is how can we make a single molecule necklace and test if two waves meet and interferes with each other from the two ends? Many doing ion-trap quantum computer seems have the setting ready to do such an experiment.
