Teaching Psychomotor skills constitute a significant element in undergraduate nursing education.
Psychomotor skills training for nursing students involves many steps. They are lecture-demonstration, simulation practice, followed by practice in clinical settings to gain competency in psychomotor skills. However, during this COVID 19 pandemic nursing students, especially beginners in the nursing programs, are restricted from clinical practice for the time being due to safety concerns. Therefore, Academicians are finding it challenging to integrate theory to practice, be in a simulated laboratory setting, or real-time practice in the clinical areas. The effectiveness of virtual psychomotor skill training is yet to be researched in our local contexts, especially from the students' point of view.
