The natural dyes are promptly prone to degrade by several environmental factors. Moreover, they have lower photon to electron conversion efficacy. So I am seeking your precious suggestions to prolong the efficiency and longevity of natural dye sensitized solar cell.

Natural dyes are relatively easy to use as light absorbers in the fabrication of a low cost and eco-friendly dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs). Most of natural dyes showed quite low stability in DSSC. Several factors like dye concentration, light, temperature, surface charge and mix with other dyes (synthetic) can stabilize the molecular structure of natural dyes and/or increasing conversion efficiency.Also,efficiency of natural dyes as efficient photsensitizers may be further enhance by modification of their structure by effect of zeta-potential , dye aggregations and dye adsorption onto semiconductor . In general , as reported in literatures, the overall energy conversion efficiency from the DSSC sensitized with natural dyes were lower than those measured using synthetic dyes. In most cases, quantum efficiency not more than 0.05%.
