Joerg is right: you need to sharpen your question, because it is unclear how to help you right now. Here are some leads:

- Are you dealing with a weather or climate model, or rather observational data?

- Are you concerned about the horizontal spatial resolution (i.e., latitude and longitude sampling), or the vertical spatial resolution (i.e., number of levels in the atmosphere), or both?

- Are you interested in a single location, a small area or a large region? Similarly, is this a one-time question (which might be addressed "manually"), or a recurring problem (which would require some automation)?

- What are you trying to achieve? In other words, what is the need, motivation or justification for an increase in spatial resolution?

- What is your accuracy requirement?
