In the field, layered intrusions take layering shape but Alaskan type takes concentric zone with peridotites in the core then clinopyroxenite then gabbro. How can we differentiate if the mountain is very high and you can see intrusions from one small outcrop and in that case concentric zone if cutting or be shown from small area look like inclined layered shape? Can I differentiate by using geochemistry? What is difference in tectonic setting of both types?
