In order to shape fire climatology we need a climatological metric of the Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index (or like). Taking averages of daily data within a month may not be a perfect answer because the fire threshold values of the FWIs are masked. We need to find another and useful metric. For example, it is not possible to expose flood-climatology using monthly total rainfall. The aim is not to identify the fire-meteorology but to make the fire-climatology clearer. How?
