According to your figure acquired from photocurrent response with chopped on-off states, the DSSC photosensor is much faster than the chopper on-off states. Therefore you can't get the photoresponse time. If you want to measure the real photoresponse time, what you need to do is to use a pulsed light source such as a laser diode. The light source is critical to such measurements. The pulse width should be one order shorter than your photodetector's response. For example, your photodetector is around 1 microsecond, you need a laser diode that has a response time of less than 0.1 microsecond. Further more, the emission of a laser diode has to fall the absorption region of your DSSC photodetector.
