Hello,

I was reading different articles and most of them agreed that a person needs at around 80 publications to become a professor. I was checking some professors who teach in the some countries, and found for some they have 30, others 20, or less than 10 and they still professors. I searched their names in my university's library site Researchgate, google and google scholars but no other publications were found, how come? the fields were Architecture and Civil Engineering. Does that mean that a person could be considered a professor in a university but not considered so in another university? Is it possible that a person has 50+ publications but non of them are on the university library, Researchgate or google scholar? Isnt shouldve been an international standard for the minimum requirements for being a professor?
