The special needs students need to be evaluated to what extent they are comfortable in lip reading and understanding non verbal cues in the classroom. Accordingly, they can be provided with additional materials to work with for better reinforcement. It is best to make them part of the class and are not to discriminated. Empathy rather than sympathy, care and sensitivity should go a long way to make them feel inclusive. Arranging special aids / specific therapy or directing them to centers to enable better communication would be of great help to them.

deaf or hard of hearing students, they need simple language (for their abilities in reading and writing). also in some university (special program for deaf ) .

We should make the curricula need based. I mean the curricula should emanate from an in-depth study of the direct beneficiaries in your case deaf and hard-of-hearing students. No one can say about the very needs of these people. So. they should be consulted starting from needs assessment to institutionalizing curricula.

The modification and the adaptation of the curriculum is entirely unique to such institution to fulfill its specific needs. The net goal is to maximize the students potential to achieve the standards of the class and to promote their success. This could be done by providing a greater access to classroom instruction by decreasing or removing the communication barriers as much as possible.

Due to my special interest in this group of students, I am so curious and keen toward such program.
