The problem is as follows:

1. A reinforced concrete girder had been loaded up to 70% of ultimate load, then unloading to zero load. Hence, residual strains were developed in steel reinforcement and concrete. In addition, there is an existed crack. 

2. after that, a CFRP laminates is added as new elements for retrofitting, and the girder is loaded up to failure.

3. How we can model this problem by FEM method (i.e., loading to 70%ultimate, unloading with residual (cracks, strains and deflection), adding new elements of CFRP, then reloading up to failure?
