ResearchGate identifies citations with the help of automated algorithms. There is no way to add missing citations "by hand", also not for the staff. See also these discussions:

Do you mean that the citations from Google Scholar cannot be updated automatically for the ResearchGate citations?

Updates cannot be done manually. Many authors have many citations on Google Scholar but do not appear on ResearchGate citations.

How can we find solutions for this issue?

I saw Dr. Wolfgang R. Dick mentioned that ResearchGate identifies citations with the help of automated algorithms. I am struggling with transferring my citations from Google Scholar to Research Gate. Any Help?

This is true Izzeddin A. Bdair, papers need to be downloaded in RG in order to appear in RG citations.
