I am working on the implementation of the attached paper. I need to test a novel fitness function for the Genetic Algorithm which optimizes a neural network. How can I:
1. specify a custom fitness function for Genetic Algorithm in MATLab, and
2. use this Genetic Algorithm to optimize a neural network?
Any guidance on how can I get started to solve this problem would be appreciated.

ENN is using both GA and NN.
please check attached code; that's an ENN where I changed the training function of NN, you can change it according to your need.
