My suggestion is a book named "Unblocking the power of OPNET modeler". I think this is one of the best books I've read about OPNET. It'll be a good start.
actually it always depends on the system you want to model. I do not have finished examples to help you, since I am working in extensions to Ethernet Powerlink right now and it is really complex, but you can find many examples to start with here:
If U a Beginner, I suggest Youtube tutorials at a start and then U will find your way. just search for opnet on youtube and you will find hundreds of videos.

Is there a difference between Opnet C++ programming support in the different versions? For example, does the free academic version support full use of the API, or are some features hidden? My students get a lot of error messages.
Note that result Obtained by academic version should not be used for any sort of publication this has been indicated in license agreement of academic opnet. it is just designed for teaching .
Now, I am doing the research about the performance analysis on LTE radio scheduling based on distance variation. I try to use opnet 17.5A modeler for lte simulation. However, I cann't find the lte component in opnet 17.5A modeller. Please help me. Anyone can suggest me.
Hello Maryann Farahani, how did it later go with your project? I have a similar topic as yours and am also struggling with the OPNET codding. Mine is more of admission control implementation on MANET. Can you give suggestion on the best way to go about the codding or can anyone in this forum with similar project or idea help.
