which linux distribution are you using? If bash can't find xgraph, try to install it yourself. for debian/ubuntu users it'll be sudo apt-get install xgraph

No idea about Windows. But, if you are planning to write research papers, I strongly recommend to switch to gnuplot.

why gnuplot is strongly recommended?

is xgraph not sufficient or does not achieve all what i need?

after applying these commands xgraph operate

this meaning that allinone ns-2 may not install xgraph when installing ns-2 so xgraph installation must be done separately
