Hi everyone,

I’m running a self-expanding stent model with different lengths. I’m using the same mesh, step, interaction, and BC settings across all models. I have a "crimp" step that usually works fine for every stent length, so it hasn’t been an issue—until now.

Recently, my model got stuck in this crimp step. I let the program run overnight, but it just stalled with a Step Time/LPF of 0.827445, which means the "crimp" step was almost complete. I tried to re-run it 3 times, and all of them got stuck on the same position (the CPU usage is only around 10%, while usually it is around 70%).

I’ve been using NLGEOM with the following settings: max number of increments set to 1000, initial increment size at 0.01, min increment size at 1E-8, and max increment size at 1. These settings are consistent across all my models, so I’m not sure what went wrong this time.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this issue? I’ve attached the .msg file here for reference. My crimp step is the 2nd step

Thank you in advance.
