As shown in Figure attached, results for Aggregate A and Aggregate B (i.e. the two groups) have been shown for the same two binders (I and II) on continued X axis. Please help on how to create a similar graph using Excel or Origin.
I don't know if there is a more direct way in Excel, but what you could do is to treat Aggregate B as just different levels of Aggregate A (for plotting purposes) and use a clustered column chart. Then you can insert text boxes and lines to accomplish the desired effect.
In Excel, type your data into a table like the pics attached. Highlight the table, choose to insert a chart, choose column graph, and then clustered. You’ll get the graph shown. If you would rather cluster the bars the other way (e.g., 2 clusters of 3, rather than 3 clusters of 2), click “switch plot.” Now click “chart layout” and you’ll see many options to make your graph look the way you would like it (e.g., titles). If you click various parts of the graph, you can change other aspects (e.g., click numbers on scale to change range or increments, click bars to change color). Hope this helps, Abhinay. ~ Kevin
