I am designing an LNA for 24 GHz radar application in ads. I want to find out that which transistor would be better for designing LNA to get min. noise figure and max. gain with following substrate specs:
(i) Roger substrate 5880
(ii) εr = 2.2
(iii) Duroid thickness = 0.031” (0.787 mm)
(iv) Conductor = Copper, Conductor thickness = 8 μm
(v) Dielectric loss tangent = 0.0009

You need :
- a transistor having a low noise figure
- to design a high gain amplifier (for masking Noise Figure of all blocks located behind the LNA block)
HEMT technolgy is preferably used for LNA

I looked at the article recommended by Mr. Abdelhalim Zekry . Although 24 GHz is not exactly my cup of tea, the article is very good, it is an excellent guide.
I'm far from specialist pf this issue. However maybe this link could help ... even if not focused on radar application. Sometimes HAM radio have great solution ...
