What is the cost effective method to remove 5gpl concentration Boron from 20% Sodium Sulfate Solution? The cost effective procedure required for industrial scale.
You want to "purify" the solution from Boron? You have Boron in the form of boronic acid and you want to clean the solution without adding other impurieties?
Usually a precipation or a flocking might do this, a regular Ion exchanger might not work in this case. There is a Patent, US-A 4,755,298 dealing with the question of boron removal, in traces, from water.
Sodium alluminate (Na2Al2O4) is used for flockings for the wastewater-treatment in the USA.
Your question is a bit vague, how much of it do you want to get out (are you starting with 5 gpl or you want to get out 5 gpl) and how pure do you want it?
Thanks Frank and Melinda. Boron content is 5gpl in the sodium sulfate solution initially and I want to remove to get purified solution. I want mainly Boron from Sodium Sulfate Solution with or without addition any other chemical.
