When I save as a modified style and change its name, the new style does not show up with the name I have entered for in the styles list. In stead, a general title like "APA-Saeideh" is built automatically.
Also, there exist more than one style with this particular name and there is no way to distinguish the latest one, which is really annoying (see the attached pic)
I still cannot see the very name I picked for the style. However, you can right click on the style and see the time of the edition. Then, delete those you don't want to keep. Still I think it's a bug and Mendeley needs to find a solution.

If you are using windows 10 or 7, follow these steps for the citation style whose name you want to change.
Note : this applies to "MEndeley desktop".
Click the "my computer" file on the desktop, and then follow these steps. ; C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Mendeley Desktop\citation styles
Right-click the style that you want to change in the citation styles folder, open it together, select the notepad. Search for a "title" with the Ctrl+f search command. And type the title between the ", " signs, the name you want. Record and exit. The problem will be solved.
Hi Ömer Lekesiz Thanks a lot for your response. I went through the steps and found the folder. However, not all the citation styles are there, which is weird. Even the most used one APA is not there

You've followed the wrong steps. Please follow the paths I wrote in my previous answer. You will not open the program files (x86) folder. You won't find the file you want there. I'm adding photos that tell you the ways you need to watch.
When you follow the steps in the photo and find the relevant file, do the following;
After you open the reference file after step 8, search for the "title" with ctrl+f command, locate the relevant part and type the name you want in the blue marked place. Save and close the net. When doing these operations, your mendeley program and word must be turned off. When you open the Mendeley program after the operations, you'll see the reference style that you rename in the reference styles gallery. You should activate by clicking "use this style".
If some folders do not appear, you must tick the hidden items tile by clicking the view option in the top section in the folder.
