Yes, i do it via vaccum sublimation at 70C. It takes 12 hours. The pure m-PD will be deposited in the form of colourless needle shaped crystals. In sources the temperature is 61C, but my yield was very poor at 61 so I'm doing it at 70.

Hi Nayab Nasir, What is the experimental setup for sublimation? I think that we can not use the normal distillation setup.

On storage it becomes black in color. Does it absorbs water in presence of light and forms dimer or form H-bonding with water? Is it the reason for the color?
