How can I obtain transient waveforms of a MOSFET in Simulink?

The MOSFET I have to simulate is a customized one, so I am not using predefined MOSFET blocks from the Simulink library. Also, I would like to start with the Level-I model. I am thinking of using the MOSFET switch circuit as per the attached figure from the Power Electronics textbook by Ned Mohan.

I tried simulating this circuit in Simulink but I am getting weird waveforms for Vds.
