I modeled this fragment of HKUST-1 by freezing all atoms except silver and using a charge of -1 and a multiplicity of 2. I then placed it next to a dibenzothiophene molecule to see how they interact (as can be seen in the image I attached). As can be seen, a distortion occurs. I think this could be due to the Jahn-Teller distortion. However, this effect would correspond to Ag(ll). I would really appreciate your opinion on this.
