Deform 3D provides different methods to estimate grain size . the most useful is DRX method which first calculate the effective strain based on your deformation and then afterward , it starts to simulate the DRX which will be used to estimate grain size . one thing you should notice is that you must apply a process without any deformation in the end to let the software calculate the DRX , like cooling down in the air for 2 seconds .
