Actually, if you mix a p-type and an n-type semiconductor, you will end up with a p-n junction not a composite semiconductor. The ultimate material would not combine the properties of initial both materials.
n-type semiconductor is using as anode and p-type as cathode. I want make p-n junction semiconductor and use that as cathode so this shoud has more properties of p-type semiconductor. if I use p-type more than n-type it will respond?
Ok I understand what you want to obtain. Yes a p-n semiconductor will respond better than a p-type semiconductor because generally reduction reactions occur at the cathode so you need more electrons than holes.
