I want to use Licor 6400, a portable gas exchange mechine to measure a succulent plant. But the leaf is too thick that i can't close the chamber fully. So is there some good methods to meaure the Amax ?It is better if lIght response curve can be mesured.
It is the matter of selecting a thick gasket with v shaped slits. Licor has got infos on http://www.licor.com/env/applications/thick_gaskets.html. Probably for very thick or hairy ones a whole plant cabinet is more adequate to pick night activities of CAMs in relation to water status, and this would require different set-up like with whole plant chambers.
