How can I measure the pH of molasses?

I have an Apera Instruments AI316 Premium Series PC60 multiparameter meter available, but I don't think it is adequate to measure the pH of molasses with this device due to its viscosity. What do you recommend that I do and why?

You can dilute your molasses by 50:50 with distilled water.

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
