I use a 10 MHz QCM to monitor a pyridine polymerization process, if the frequency is reduced by 20000Hz, and pyridine solution is 0.1mol/l with 0.86V polymerization voltage, then what is the thickness of pyridine polymer?
I may only suggest to roughly estimate the film density prepared in this particular condition (look to the literature) and then use the mass calculated by Saubrey law on the basis of the frequency decrease and calculate the volume from mass. If u know the active surface of QCM (otherwise just measure the surface of the electrode) u may easily estimate the thickness from the volume.
