If you go to your Google Scholar profile (which pops-up when you insert your name in the search box at GS) you can see that your h-index is 31. If you go to Scopus sources https://www.scopus.com/sources and click on “Author Search” and enter your name in the relevant boxes you end-up with your Scopus profile where they indicate a h-index of 11 (based on 56 documents).

The differences between the various metrics have multiple reasons. For example, as far as I can see the lower h-index here on RG has to do with the fact that citations for book contributions are not really counted here on RG, like for example:

Book Balance de la globalización y teoría social de la posglobali...

Here on RG 1 citation while on GS it is cited 96 times.

Furthermore, your GS profile mentioned hundreds of more items than here on RG. The lower h-index in Scopus has obviously to do with the fact that only Scopus indexed publications are counted.

In an attempt to improve your h-index here on RG (as far as you manually can influence this) I would say try to upload more of your own publications (unfortunately RG is not doing this always automatically). Keep in mind that some publications might be already in the RG database but are simply not assigned to your profile, unfortunately this happens frequently here on RG.

Last but not least include multiple alternative names here on RG (like you did in your ORCID profile). In relation to this you might check whether Scopus assigned some of your papers to another profile. For both RG and Scopus there are ways to merge these profiles.

PS. You encountered the results of the ‘imperfections’ of the various indices/metric systems. None of them is perfect and the means to correct them yourself are there but remain limited.
