How do I get started learning RSM? If you could provide text book names on the subject or links to free resources that will be greatly helpful.
I also wanted to know what pre-requisite knowledge I would need. I have a small background with statistics, up to X-distributions and Gaussian plots for predicting results from a sample pool. I have not yet studied the regression techniques nor the factorial methods but I am unsure if these are required.
I need RSM to analyze some data I am creating to find optimal results. I will be using minitab for this undergraduate project.

I think the pre-requisite knowledge should be based on the control and simultaneous change of variables to know the optimal point of an expected signal.
