The leadership literature I have read discusses the complexities of actors, goals, governance structures, leadership imperatives, etc. I highly recommend Direction, Alignment, Commitment: Toward a More Integrative Ontology of Leadership for its explanation of leadership theory, web of beliefs and practice, and shift from the tripod ontology. Christopher Ryan I am confused about your questions. :) Do you want to how can you get involved? With engagement, accountability, and commitment.
Do you want to know the level of commitment that I looking for? it depends on the activity. Sometimes I look for more, sometimes I look for less. When priorities change, it affects interest, involvement, engagement, affecting the level of commitment.
Hi Cristina Lorena Jones, thanks for your reply. I am curious about how WINGs intends to engage the Stony Brook community, wondering if I qualify to participate. What kinds of activities? I have never participated in a project like this, so it is exploratory for me, but I feel I have some expertise in these areas (on barriers to student success/retention).
I will google coz I do not know about Wings or Stony Books comminity engagement. Good luck on that.
