Network parameters such as the bandwidth, frequency, etc. are input parameters that are configured in the devices prior to running the simulation. Parameters such as distance, pathloss, jitter, etc. are output parameters which may vary over simulation time for each simulation run.
some of these parameters are independent variables and some of them are dependent variables. For instance, you can and should set your desired transmission frequency (of course in the defined range, e.g. 28 GHz and 39GHz for the ultra-wideband). But some of these parameters (for instance jitter or packet loss) are dependant variables and should be measured during the simulation process and you can not set them.
In NetSim, the 5G network parameters Pathloss, BeamformingGain, Rx-Signal-Level, SNR, CQI, and MCS are available in the log file if you turn on printing of these variables during simulation.
