How can I find MgO band gap experimentally?
it is a wide band gap material and it's UV spectra placed out of range of UV-vis Perkin spectrophotometer. So it is not possible to calculate by Tauc plot, is there any way to find band gap experimentally?

Solid State Communications. 55 (4): 351–5. Taurian, O.E.; Springborg, M.; Christensen, N.E. (1985). "Self-consistent electronic structures of MgO and SrO" The LMTO-method is used to calculate the band structure of the alkaline earth oxides MgO and SrO. Cohesive energy and equilibrium lattice constant are also calculated. The results are compared with experiments and other theoretical calculations [6.06 Ev vs. 7.8 Ev].
If you don't have any suitable equipment, the most logical thing is to use a literature value. Do XRD to confirm you have the proper phase, maybe EDX or any other elemental analysis method too, and then you say that bendgap of your material is so-and-so as published in this-and-this reference. Do not invent unnecessary tasks.

the band gap through the visible region (400-800 nm) is (2.86- 1.43 eV) if the absorption edge don't appear through the mentioned range, you need to to use another spectrometer, from the literature as the mentioned in the attached (papesr and links) and as mentioned in the answer of Dr. @ Steve Koelzer, theoretical values lies within UV region so you need to use " a UV-Vis NIR spectrophotometer (Lambda 950 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer)" and measure the optical spectrum of (Transmission,T and/or reflectance R - absorbance, A) within range (150-300 nm). If this is not available you may follow the answer of Prof. Dr. @ Roman Kubrin.
