To estimate the radius in the horizontal plane of a hemispherical picture, you can follow these steps:

Select a hemispherical photograph that is representative of the desired area.

Identify a prominent object or feature at the center of the photograph. This could be a tree trunk, a pole, or any other distinctive point.

Measure the distance from the center of the photograph to the object or feature. Ensure that the measurement is made in the horizontal plane.

Multiply this measured distance by 2 to obtain the radius. This assumes that the hemispherical photograph captures a complete hemisphere.

The resulting radius can be used as a reference to clip the LiDAR point cloud. You can remove LiDAR points that fall outside this radius, ensuring consistency with the hemispherical photograph.

It's important to note that this method assumes the hemispherical photograph accurately represents the field of view and that the photograph was taken from a fixed position. Additionally, consider any potential distortions or lens effects that may influence the measurements.
