I have done a number of test on concrete beeing confined with carbon fiber, the test shown a really good correlation with the teory, but i cant replicate previous studies done on my university, i have reached a dead end.
Can some one point me in the right direction?
The problem is that previous estudies have managed to make the specimen fail (concrete and fiber) with 6 layers of fiber for 42 Mpa with a similar compresive strenght 37 Mpa the fiber does not fail.

You should first predict the function by artificial intelligence methods such as neural network and then you can optimize their parameters.

The carbon fibers are usually used to enhance the tensile properties of concrete, why you are interested in compressive strength?
In my university research has been done on the topic, a bridge was heavily damaged during an earth quake and carbon fiber was used as a quick way to fix the bridge, however and as your correctly pointed out, carbon fiber is usually used to enhance tensile properties, so research is needed to stablish the validity of the repair.
Although carbon fiber provides much better results when used in tension its application is relatively quick and can be used just after an earth quake to prevent structure failure.
CFRP enhance compression strength indirectly through confinement effect. There are many theoretical models about how the condiment affect the compression strength Like Sheick model.
