Hello everyone. I hope you all doing well. I am working on simulating a finned rotating cylinder inside a fluid domain using ANSYS Fluent workbench. In my case I need to use moving mesh. My problem is I don't know how to separate the mesh near the moving part. My questions are:
1. How to create two different zone within the same fluid domain?
2. Do I need to mesh the model of the actual cylinder or just to represent it as a boundary condition to the fluid?
Could anyone help me with that, please?

If you are trying to model a rotating body (in your case a finned cylinder), your problem is somehow like a turbo machinery. There is some tutorials in this regard in different websites and I think Ansys itself has got one or two.
But I try to answer your questions:
1- In solving flow around a rotating body, first create it's geometry (rotating body) and then freeze the created geometry. Then, draw the fluid domain (in most cases its a big cylinder) and freeze it too. Now use the Boolean command and cut the rotating body out from the fluid domain. Therefore, you have a fluid domain minus the rotating body.
I believe that I also have answered your second question. In problems regarding the turbo machinery (a rotating body in the fluid domain) you do not need the rotating body itself and you just need the fluid domain.
For modeling the rotation of a body inside the fluid domain, try using MRF technique. I think you will find lots of information in this regard on the web.
