Delta_X is the displacement difference of nodes A+ and A- in the x-direction, and it varies from 1 to 0 along the boundary 12 from node 1 to node 2,
while delta_Y is the displacement difference of nodes B+ and B- in the x-direction (NOT Y-DIRECTION!!), and it changes from 1 to 0 along the boundary 14 from node 1 to node 4.
The nodes order of a macroscopic element is as follow
4 A- 3
B+ B-
1 A+ 2
