This is the approach taken by Jacobson for conceptual class stereotypes in OOA in the Unified Process, which you may or may not want to use. See the "Unified Software Development Process" book for all the detail. Summaries can be found online. Jacobson recommends using use cases to find the different types of conceptual class, e.g. one boundary class per use case.
