These things confused me a lot, I always read the paper write like this "we randomly choose the lncRNA to verify the reliability," I do not know how they choose the lncRNA in huge data set to verify.
Cautions: I just want to verify the reliability of my data about gene chip. There did not matter my research interesting.

Hi Lei:
use P values and False Discovery Rates for the array data to choose 5 to 10 lncRNAs and then do qRt-PCR on an INDEPENDENT set of samples with the same characteristics of the ones used for the array
