i am preparing acetosyringone stock solution in DMSO. When it is stored in -20degree it gets precipitated. How to avoid this? Is there any alternative solvent to dissolve AS?
Hi Siva, Do you prepare AS fully in DMSO or dissolve and make up with water. We generally store AS in refrigerator and have never faced any precipitation issues.
Is it the AS that precipitates or the DMSO that solidifies? DMSO is not liquid at -20°C. Actually I used to work in a poorly heated lab and in winter DMSO was not liquid in the lab in the morning (circa 15°C I'd say).
