I was given this sequence of a certain gene: chr6:141,002,700-143,643,400 to investigate in relation to transient neonatal diabetes.
I am not sure how to analyze the given results in UCSC genome browser...

go to the UCSC website (https://genome.ucsc.edu), choose the genome browser and select human in hg19 assembly, put your region in the opened window, and click.
below the browser, you'll see optional tracks to activate, see for OMIM and publication to be visible, and click on all events to search for relations with your research (this is a huge region, more than 2.5Mb, you'll need some times to review all data). on the other hand, 14 genes (6 are curated) with only 5 OMIM hits...
