Recently we started to use a HEKA set up (EPC 10 USB) for our electrophysiological experiments (manual perfusion evoked-current experiments and mIPSCs). However, we want to use Clampfit to analyse the data recorded on this set up.

I know that HEKA files (.dat) needs to be transformed to a recognized-Clampfit format (.abf). I was trying several things to do that but neither it was successful.

I was exported single sweeps from Patchmaster in different formats (.bin, .acs) and then use the ABF File Utility (Minianalysis) to generate a abf file. However, the generated file is totally different to the original and is impossible to analyse.

Also, I used the ABF file Utility of Minianalysis to convert .dat files to abf files. Despite that the sweep looks like the original recording, they have a different scale and the recordings from different cells appears together in one big ABF file.

Could anybody help me on how to export and transform my data ?

Attached you could find the protocol that I used to perform recordings
