We have scanned a series of samples that we want to analyze using a matlab based application. The program requires our samples to be loaded into the program using a fixed orientation.

Imagine an arrow, we need it facing with the arrowhead to the left with the broad side of the object facing towards us.

The issue is that when I load them into our visualization software, dragonfly (ORS), they appear in a different orientation. This will likely be due to the scanning process we used. When inspecting the sample I can obviously rotate them freely towards the proper orientation.

Does anyone know a means to store this proper orientation?
